Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove game

This is the 6th game in the MCF series following "Return to Ravenhearst." As with the other Mystery Case Files, you the player are the detective and you will explore, solve puzzles, and find hidden objects in order to get to the bottom of the mystery at hand.

In the beginning, you will be making your way through a snowstorm, a strange and unexpected snowstorm. As you are traveling, you will come upon the little village of Dire Grove where you find an abandoned car and several video tapes which are spread out in different places. The video tapes reveal different parts of a story in which 4 college students are traveling to Dire Grove. But, the students are nowhere to be found requiring you, the detective, to solve the mystery.

Like the other MCF games, you will navigate simply by moving your mouse around and clicking on various objects. When you should take a closer look at something, the cursor will appear to be a magnifying glass. Likewise, when something can be picked up or moved, the cursor will appear as a hand. Important clues will be indicated by a quick single sparkle. A shower of sparkle indicates hidden object scenes to be explored.

Once you have entered the hidden object scene, you begin searching for the items shown on the list. One of the items will go into your inventory and you will use them in various puzzles throughout the game. As you come across important information, it is recorded in your Detective's Casebook. And, of course, you can always use hints if you find yourself truly perplexed.

The stunning graphics are amazing and might even leave you feeling chilly! The hidden object scenes, puzzles, and the different locations are just beautifully presented in vivid 3D scenes. The visual enchantments in addition to the wonderfully designed sounds really pull you into the game and you'll find yourself immersed in this strange and mysterious world for hours.

The story has a creepy feel, yet it keeps you interested and as you solve the puzzles, collect clues, and enjoy the adventure of exploring the town. Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove will give gamers plenty of challenging entertainment.
